Mr. E. R. M. Scott, Secretary of the Maryborough Hospital, has become the fortunate recipient of a third share in £ 20.000 left by an uncle in England. The other Paticitators in this good fortune are Mr. Scott,s brothers, farmers at Wareek.

In later years, Edward R M Scott and his wife ran the Highbury Barn Hotel in Collingwood, Victoria, a world away from his birthplace the Amulree Inn.
