Svend Nielsen Lagoni died 7th feb 1944, aged 21, Able seaman, S.S. Margit.
The Danish SS Margit, 1940 seized by Britain and transferred to Ministry
of War Transport, was torpedoed by U-985, capsized and sank SE of Iceland.
however may Blossom Nielsen describes herself as married in following voters register.

Sqn Ldr Svend Aage Nielsen, born on 3 April 1913 in Denmark.
He enlisted for the Royal Australian Air Force on 4 March 1940 in
Archerfield. At this point he was a naturalised British subject according to
the enlistment papers.
On 1st September 1944, he was granted the King's Commendation for Valuable
Service in the Air, when flying instructor at No. 1 Service Flying Training
School.
He is discharged on 4 June 1946 at which point he is attached to 24
Squadron, RAAF, holding the rank of Squadron Leader [1].
