Mr. Caton Cumming left yesterday in the s.s. Nairnshire, to join H.M. training ship Conway at Liverpool.

United Kingdom. Mr. Caton Cumming, youngest son of Mrs. Kate Cumming, of Doodlakine, has been appointed fifth officer of the P. and O. Liner Mooltan. Mr. Caton Cumming was educated on H.M.S. Conway, Liverpool, where he won the medal for smartest "top" in the ship, and finished his time in the White Star liner Mersey. where he won the binoculars presented by Capt. Murray for the smartest seamanship.
