July 10, 2016 To Jenny & Family - Thinking of you with kind thought Cushla Wolland Cushla Wolland, Hamilton, Waikato July 9, 2016 Oh so many memories of the many hours spent with Norma and her family in Tauhei. We grew up next door and I remember playing in the old army hut for hours, our dinners there were quickly demolished so we could sample Normas home made ice cream, we thought it was the best thing on earth at the time. Norna was always a very positive person, things were always goodeo in her life. Rest in peace Norma. July 8, 2016 Mrs Glass was a lovely, kind, intelligent and positive woman. I remember her delivering a box of golden delicious apples to our kitchen when I was a child.I remember eating grapefruit for breakfast at their Tauhei house. When I go married she advised me to be interested in my husband's work activities to help keep the spark alive. She hosted my 'kitchen shower'. At my father's funeral to help comfort me, she said that his passing may not be too difficult for me as I was so busy with my 3 young children. I always took note of what she said. She was a very good and generous friend to my mother. Mrs Glass was a very positive person in my childhood / early teens. A very hard worker and resilient person.I remember her with great fondness and admiration. Gloria Selkirk nee Jack, Tauranga |
